How to Book Your Appointment
You do not need a GP referral, but you will need to have a phone consultation with Dr Acorn to check for any health issues and to make sure you are aware of all the considerations required for making a fully informed decision in asking for permanent contraception
It is really helpful if you can have already decided on a preferred date for your operation prior to making contact (operating is ALWAYS on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings and the waiting list is usually around 4-6 weeks
Once the date has been agreed, Dr Acorn or his assistant will do the telephone consultation
During your telephone consultation we will talk through the permanence of vasectomy and its implications as well as the potential complications. We will answer your questions and finalise your booking.You will then need to provide your name, DOB, address and email address and pay a deposit.
You will receive an email that confirms your appointment and gives information about the preparation for your operation.
You will need to have made your full payment at least 2 weeks prior. Turn up for your operation. If you have an office job, you can return to work the next day!
On the day of your operation you will be given information for arranging a post operative semen analysis to be done approximately 16 weeks after.
