I qualified as a doctor in 1988 at the London Hospital Medical College and went on to qualify as a GP in 1992. I have ever since worked as a GP and have been a GP partner at Stock Surgery since 1995.
I have a particular interest in endocrinology, contraception and surgery. Since 2008 I have been providing vasectomy clinic services from our surgical facility at Stock Surgery and am well known far and wide by my colleagues and patients. Many of my patients have travelled long distances just to use the renowned services at my clinic, including travel from Scotland, Wales, UAE and Thailand.

Stock Surgery is a purpose-built GP surgery and dispensary, built in 2006 to serve the local community in and around Stock village near Chelmsford and Billericay. Our surgical facility is specially designed for providing a hospital-like environment within a relaxed community setting to mitigate the risks associated with lower tech environments usually encountered within a GP surgery. We have paid particular attention to infection control with coved single surface flooring, minimal surfaces, positive pressure ventilation with HEPA filtration, sensor taps and suction filtration of intraoperative fumes.

I have performed around 6500 NSV vasectomies and a large proportion of enquiries are a result of personal recommendation. You can expect the application of local anaesthetic to be virtually pain-free as I use ultra fine instruments for the anaesthetic instillation. The rest of the operation is without any discomfort. The procedure lasts just 10 minutes during which you can feel relaxed in our capable hands. The NSV type vasectomy gives a significantly superior outcome to other forms of vasectomy, being a quicker, less traumatic procedure with much less risk of complications or failure. The operation site is such a small wound that it does not require stitches.
